On Saturday, September 14th, the Thunder Boys made the short trip to Fountain Hills, AZ to compete in the Fountain Hills Invitational, held at Fountain Hills Park. The DVCC Varsity squad raced to a 6th-place finish in the Large Schools 5k Varsity Race, led by Luke Littlefield in 23rd (16:56). Jacob Luecker was next in 27th (17:01), followed by Niko Maldonado in 46th (17:26), and Carter Frisk in 50th (17:39). Alexander Braaten finished 69th (18:00) to complete the scoring for the Thunder.
