On Wednesday October 23rd, the DVCC girls returned to Crossroads Park in Gilbert for the Division-1/Southeast Sectional Meet and posted a 3rd-place finish, with all scoring runners finishing in the top-28. The Thunder were led by senior co-Captain Dana Pivin in 4th place overall with a time of 19:12, followed by freshman Kendyl Taylor in 13th (20:15), junior co-Captain Lydia Leeman in 18th (20:34), junior Izzy Villarreal in 19th (20:40) and Bailey Orr in 28th (21:14). Also competing were freshman Jocelyn Prather in 29th (21:17) and sophomore Laniya Begody in 38th (22:06). With this result, DVCC qualifies for the Arizona State Championship Meet on November 2nd.
