The DVCC Girls brought the Thunder on a stormy Saturday morning at the Juan Reyes Invitational on October 15, 2022.
Starting the morning strong was the Freshman girls coming in First place, with a combined team score of 15 points. Lydia Leeman placed second (24:10) with her teammate Avery Thomas (24:43) coming in strong behind her in third.
The rain did not stop the JV girls; they took First place with some impressive performances. Coming in back-to-back in first and second place were Sophomores Aspen Busby (21:17.3) and Vanesa Acedo (21:17.9). The girls did not stop there as fellow sophomores Brooklyn Renda (21:35) and Payton Eden (21:50) and senior Chelsea Condon (21:59) came in 3rd, 4th, and 5th shortly after.
Finishing off the day were the Varsity girls coming in First place led by senior Emily Littlefield (18:57.2) and junior Brooklyn Hanania (19:25.3).
The girls will travel to Prescott next weekend to participate in the Ray Wherley Invitational, as some of the girls look to close out their seasons.
