The 2019 Arizona Cross Country Division-1 Section-3 race was held at Crossroads Park in Gilbert on Friday afternoon, November 8th.
The Thunder rested its Varsity and instead leveraged its depth as the JV squad came through with flying colors with a second-place finish that qualified DVCC for the Arizona D1 State Championship Meet on November 16th.
DVCC was led by junior Christopher Broze (17:00), who finished in 11th place overall. He was followed by sophomore Ryan Hoyt (17:01) in 12th, junior Connor Donihi (17:02) in 13th, sophomore Co-Captain Zaire Blevins (17:11) in 20th, and junior Jacob Cardon (17:22) in 24th.
Also competing for the Thunder were sophomore Nolan Billetor (17:52) in 35th and senior Co-Captain Nicolo Perciballi (17:56) in 41st.

Join the Thunder this Saturday, November 16th at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix as they attempt to win their sixth Arizona D1 State Championship title in a row. Race time is approximately 8:45 am.
