Nov 12, 2022: DVCC Thunder celebrate a 3rd-place finish at the 2022 Arizona D1 Cross Country State Championship Meet
On Saturday Nov 12th 2022, the Desert Vista Boys Cross Country team placed third at the 2022 Arizona State D1 Cross Country Championship, the 13th straight year in which the Thunder has placed 3rd or better at State.
Senior Ty Anderson led the Thunder, placing 13th overall in 16:29. Next across the line was fellow senior Shaud Becenti in 20th (16:40), followed by Junior Braden Lolli in 32nd (17:01), sophomore Maxton Klein in 48th (17:27). DVCC senior Captain Logan Tinsley completed the scoring with a 56th-place finish (17:33). Also competing was senior Stevie Saurini in 94th (18:19) and junior Josh Fossett in 110th (18:32).
